It is currently possible to run Twitch ads via SAMMI. However, according to the Twitch documentation, only running ads via the Twitch ad manager qualifies for 55% ad revenue. Running ads via SAMMI would result in 30% ad revenue.
HOWEVER, it is currently very hard for streamer to know WHEN ads are rolled out via the ad manager. I tested it today with 3 minute ads every hour, but there was no notification before the ads were rolled out. Therefore, I request adding a trigger for when ads are rolled out.
With this trigger, streamers could display a notification on stream, or even create an automatic chat message à la "Currently, you may see advertisement. During this time, we won't progress in the game. Grab a snak and we will soon continue with the story!". This can be very handy, as viewers seeing the ad can't hear the streamer, but they can still read the chat.
