"Being able to colour the text of a button other than the default white would be a much appreciated addition. While changing the button colour is great, being able to also change the text colour would allow for even more customizability and better noticeability during a stream."

I precisely see it as something necessary as well, it helps a lot when wanting to design a dock that is quite visually attractive. (In my case I wanted to use it on a tablet as an "a la carte" menu for the topic.)
I've been doing this (Left) but I had to work with the colors inverted (Right). My original was white with black text... but have to use black with the white text.
